Should you start Live Streaming?
I get asked this question a lot:
“Should I live stream my content, and what are the benefits?”
Well, the answer is…..it depends. Not all content you want to share on the Interwebs is suitable for live streaming, but there are some advantages to sharing your topic and messages with a live audience.
Here are some examples of how Live Streaming could help you and your business.
Enhanced Engagement: Live streaming offers real-time interaction, creating a dynamic and engaging experience for audiences. This immediate feedback loop fosters a stronger connection between you, as the content creator, and your viewers.
Expanded Reach: There are many live streaming platform to get your messages across, including YouTube, LinkedIn Live, Twitter, Rumble and IG. Facebook recently added further restrictions and criteria for live streaming, possibly cementing it’s demise with regards to being an active streaming destination. However, with all the existing live streaming destinations, being live and connecting with your audience can help you and your business reach a global audience, breaking down geographical barriers.
Monetization Opportunities: Many platforms offer monetization options such as donations, subscriptions, super chats and ad revenue. Additionally, live streamers can secure brand deals and sponsorships, providing diverse income streams. Not forgetting affiliate marketing and the ability to give your digital downloads further reach.
Real-Time Marketing: Live streaming allows for immediate product demonstrations, Q&A sessions, and launches. This real-time marketing strategy can drive sales and build excitement around your new products and services.
Content Versatility: Live streams can be repurposed into other content formats, such as highlight reels, educational clips, or podcasts. This versatility maximizes the value of each broadcast and enhances content distribution strategies.
