Facebook removing access for live streaming apps!
Meta To Remove Third-Party Access for Facebook Group Live Streaming (What!)
On April 22nd 2024, Meta (That Pesky Zuck) will be removing all third-party access to live streaming applications such as StreamYard, Ecamm Live, Restream, and others.
So What?
Well, it means you will no longer be able to use your live streaming applications to do the following:
Create & Schedule Live Streams to Facebook Groups
Have Facebook chat comments come in to your live streaming application
Start & Stop your live shows
Use of any integrations for going live from your streaming application to Facebook
All is not lost, you can still stream; you just have to do it via a manual setup.
The good news is that I have a video that goes through the details. I talk specifically about how to use the manual RTMP setting in Ecamm Live but the same applies for any third-party streaming app. I also include a section on how you can get your comments back into your live stream using a handy Chrome plugin.
Let me know how this affects you by leaving a comment in the video and if this helped you.
Till next time!
Neil.
